Karen Lewandowski (one of our members) Mom passed on July 8th 2009. Karen has shared the following information that we would like to make available to the members.

On 7/8/09 at 9:40 pm, my mom began a new life! As expected she finally left behind the physical pain from her cancer and MRSA infection to join those that she knew before.

There is another new angel in heaven and she will be very much missed here on earth.

The service will be Sunday July 19th (this Sunday) at the Sun City Center Hospice Home where my mom stayed until heaven called. The memorial service begins at 2 p.m. in the chapel and then over to the cafe afterward for with light finger food provided by S and S Tacos and Stuff

Before my mom died she said that she didn't want flowers cluttering up the place. Jay and I will be picking up some arrangements for the service but if others would please chose one of the following to make a donation to in her memory she would so appreciate that (up there in heaven!) Or they may follow their hearts and donation to any organization they chose in her memory and honor!

As you probably know, Mary Ann Wilhelm is running in the Ruskin Honorary Mayor's race. Every dollar raised during the campaign counts as one vote. Mary Ann’s campaign, specifically, will go to support Deputy’s Darlins and the American Business Woman’s Association South Shore Charter Chapter Education Fund. Deputy’s Darlins is a non profit program which financially supports single mothers and struggling parents through out the year. This is done by providing food, clothing and utilities to these needy families. At Christmas this program provides gifts to the children of the families. The ABWA’s Education Fund goes to support the continuing education needs of working women and provide the financial support needed to achieve their education goals. The ABWA’s Education Fund also provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors.

Congratulations to Jennifer Gordon of Click Photography. Matthew James Gordon was born January 8th, at 6:46am. He weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. Currently he is in the Intensive Care Unit but he has great nurses taking care of him!
